Random Shards Ejected At An Unsafe Speed From My Train Of Thought...

Is it just my observational bias, or is there a strong correlation that suggests that the sound volume of a vehicle's engine varies in inverse proportion to its driver's intelligence?...
According to The Nerd Purity Test, I'm 53.0% nerd, while The Geek Purity Test says I'm 33.3% geek. (This is, I'm sure, of great relief to my wife of 17 years...)
Our Vocabulary Word For Today is pseudepigrapha, which means "spurious writings, esp. writings falsely attributed to biblical characters or times"...

Alternate Lyrics, Part Deux

As you might remember, sometimes I get the urge to sing songs out loud even if I've forgotten some (or all) of the lyrics.

Today, it was the Bauhaus classic, "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

Here now is what I was singing this afternoon under the influence of hydrocordo... err, hydroco... ah, pain meds...:

Bela Lugosi's dead
He got shot in the head
Eating Fruity Pebbles with Fred
Bela Lugosi's dead
[Break it down, dawg!...]

Re: HELP (A Found Poem From A Spam In My E-Mail)

"She knew," Paul whispered.
One person in every dozen.
Has she been buried alive?
And she had eyed him back.
Unless she's still alive.
That stuff is very rich.
But before the champagne.
He was a very polite boy.
He showed you a picture?

When you finish the book.
The pilings grew and grew.
"You lie," Annie whispered.
And it was a heart attack.
God, he hated that sound.
Has she been buried alive?
"You see something green?"
"I ain't got no cigarettes."
That's where she kept me.

Has she been buried alive?
Tonight she would need it.
"I'd guthole a few of them!"
"You see something green?"
Then he burst into tears.
He slammed the door shut.
That's where she kept me.
Has she been buried alive?
Unless she's still alive.

Swing American!...

You Are Chinese Food
Chinese food
Exotic yet ordinary.
People think they've had enough of you, but they're back for more in an hour.

Your World View
You are a fairly broadminded romantic and reasonably content. You value kindness and try to live by your ideals. You have a strong need for security, which may be either emotional or material.

You respect truth and are flexible. You like people, and they can readily make friends with you. You are not very adventurous, but this does not bother you.
